DUNASEAL – fireproof sealing tape
The DUNASEAL tape is used to seal expansion joints and construction gaps up to 50 mm wide. The tape consists of a one- or two-layer flexible flame-retardant sponge with two or three layers of fire-retardant, swelling laminate, which during fire increases the volume to form a fire-proof barrier filling the construction gaps.
The use of DUNASEAL tape in the gap allows you to quickly and effectively seal gaps and dilatation in the ceiling, wall or at the joint of two structures. This solution does not block the movements of structural elements while maintaining full tightness due to the flexibility of the system.
It comes in two widths:
- 35 mm – one layer of sponge and two layers of swellable laminate
- 67 mm – two layers of sponge and three layers of swellable laminate
Minimum substrate thickness:
- 120 mm – concrete walls
- 125 mm – walls made of plasterboard
- 150 mm – walls made of solid brick and cellular concrete
- 150 mm – reinforced concrete and cellular concrete walls
